Josh is CTO at ARK, where he aims to accelerate digital transformation across the residential property sector. He has built and scaled teams engineering teams across size and industry from corporates like Admiral through to startups such as Cleo. His quality focus is rooted from a deep interest in formal verification, with practical expertise in building web and mobile applications. Conference and meet-up speaker, he enjoys sharing learnings with the wider community.
Akeel is co-founder of ARK and Fund Manager of the Urban Splash Residential fund (USR). Previously he worked at UBS Investment Bank where he was part of a team advising on real estate transactions with a combined value of c.£20bn. Whilst at university, Akeel co-founded the education technology platform Aula which he has exited. Akeel graduated from Pembroke College, University of Oxford with a BA in Economics & Management. Akeel also sits on the Fundraising Board of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust Charity & Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Angus graduated from the University of Edinburgh, with a first-class MA in Ancient History. Following university, Angus entered the world of institutional investment where he helped build teams for firms such as Legal & General, ISIO, Cardano Investment Management and Alpha Real Capital where he gained substantial knowledge of the institutional investment landscape. Angus joined the team at ARK last year to lead our Strategic Partnerships.
Kevin has over 16 years of product and commercial experience in start-ups, scale-ups and global multinational companies such as Zeelo, Xceptor and Thomson Reuters, across a number of different sectors including legal, fintech, property and big data. He has built and scaled product teams and has a focus on ensuring a customer-centric approach throughout the development process.
Theo joined ARK having graduated from the University of Bristol with a first-class Master’s degree in Computer Science. During his time at university, he completed an internship with NquiringMinds developing data visualisation tools and web apps for use across a range of industries. Continuing from his dissertation thesis on the use of deep learning for the detection of African Wildlife from Aerial imagery, Theo has also helped write a paper that was published with the WACV on the same topic.
Shéa graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with a first-class Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Whilst studying at university, he completed an internship with Urban Scale Interventions where he developed a behaviour recognition tool to help prevent suicides in public spaces. Shéa also developed the initial PoC for PolyLoop, a SaaS approach to strategically align policy and funding opportunities through developing actionable frameworks with insights. Prior to joining Ark, Shéa worked within FinTech consultancy, developing web apps for global financial services clients.
Luca is a full stack developer and Technical Lead here at Ark. Luca has experience working in both large and small companies across banking, insurance, optometry and events management industries having worked in both London and New York. Driven by a minor obsession with automating processes, Luca loves writing code and sharing his passion by teaching others. Luca studied Computer Science at university having graduated from the University of Exeter whilst also studying at the University of California, Berkeley. Outside of work, he enjoys fencing, climbing and playing tennis. He is also a huge coffee nerd.
Jake oversees The Holroyd Family Office. He has an overarching responsibility for commercial investments, The Holroyd Foundation and the wider Holroyd Estate. To date, Jake has had exposure to funding, managing and exiting investments. After graduating with a BA Hons in Business, Jake completed an internship and graduate scheme with Enterprise Holdings, leaving the company some six years later to join a young EdTech business in London. In November 2017, Jake joined The Holroyd Family.
